Hello fellow alumni! Want to wish everyone a great and safe year for 2009 and want to know if there are a lot of people here from 1972.

Hi, I would like to mention LTG Michael A. Vane for the Hall of Achievement. He is 1971 graduate of HHS. He graduated from West Point in 1975 and has been serving our country ever since. He is now a LTGeneral (3 stars!) which puts him in the top 50 of the U.S. Army. (You can google him and come up with tons of info.)

Subject: 20 year reunion planning Class of 1989 Hello everyone, Looks like we have settled on a date - August 1st - at the Portuguese hall. We are still working out details for weekend events. Let us know if you have any ideas. Please send me your e-mail and/or physical addresses so we can send out save the date letters and invitations. And let me know which, if either, of the addresses you would like to have public or private. I will keep one file that I will not distribute and use for sending out invitation information, but we may want to have one file to share everyone's information with each other. Also, please let anyone else you know that they can contact me at justin_walsh71@yahoo.com to give me their information. Justin

Matt Ryan (XC & Track coach/ROP teacher) suffered a severe neck injury while body boarding in Capitola. He and his wife just had their third child, are a bit overwhelmed at the moment, and can use some help. So, I am asking the Harbor community to reach out and help one of it's own. You can help in one of two ways; they need help with meals and with childcare. There is a fund that has been set up to help pay for a part time Douala ( nanny) and a schedule for meals. More information about both can be found on the track website at www.harbor-xc-track.org. I'm also including a letter, that in it's own, says a lot. Thank you. Thanks to all who organzed the class of 1997's 11-year reunion! I would like to have seen more people there, though. Especially the ones who were actually in SC that night. If anyone has pictures to share, can you post a link?

Greetings, classmates! Plans are underway for our 30th reunion :-) For now, mark Saturday, August 22nd on your calendars and plan to make a weekend of it! We will be at Peachwood's at Pasatiempo Inn from 6-11 pm on the 22nd. They have blocked off rooms for us at a discounted rate if we stay for two nights and will hold them until mid-July. Lots more information to come so keep your eyes peeled and check out this site frequently for updates. As soon as we have all of the information about cost and events we will also be posting on classmates.com. In the meantime...spread the word and get as many people as you can to log on and register on the piratereunion website! This will be the best way to find as many folks as possible :-) I'm looking forward to seeing you all! (Maybe someone can help me figure out how to deal with sending my baby off to college!) Ha!

Aloha all!!! Wow! 30 years sure went fast! What is the status of a 30 year reunion? I want to see all those people I went to Gault Elem. and B-40 Jr. as well as Harbor. I was back and forth between Harbor and Maui and it is all a blur. Any ways check out Classmates. com lots of Pirates there! I am an old grandma now and still enjoying life. I live on the Island of Hawaii. But I would come visit Santa Cruz or where ever for the 30 year reunion. Just let me know! Aloha, Lori

Bring your family and friends and join us on Tuesday, Nov.18 at the beautiful Shadowbrook Restaurant, in Capitola, as we partake in good food and good company. The Shadowbrook Restaurant will donate 30% of the tab back to Harbor when you state that you are from Harbor High. You can make your reservations for the Shadowbrook Fundraiser by calling 475-1511. Remember, you must state that you are from Harbor High for us to receive credit. Thank you, "Eddie Ray" Garcia El Presidente Harbor High School Parent Booster Club

So did you notice in the picture of the football guys that showed up for homecoming, that they all looked alike......hahahahaha..... Also, I know they aren't very old, so they must have all gone out and dyed their gotee's grey, to make themselves look older..... Great picture guys...wish I could have been there to celebrate with you!!!

So the Alumni commitee plus some others paid a visit to the old hallowed halls of Harbor High. Boy what a walk down memory lane..hahaha although it has also changed alot. We went to the old library entrance which is now all roped off and grown over...kinda sad. Also we went and sat on the steps....we all remember them being so much bigger...oh that's right, they took part of them and made a handicap ramp, (where was that when I was on crutches... It was fun walking around remembering things from the "old" days. Also big kudos to the powers that be for the football stadium. Something that was way overdue. If you get a chance go take a walk down memory lane too....you won't be sorry. Pictures should be posted soon.
